About the Architectural Marvels In the Fort
Chittorgarh is spread over an area of almost 700 acres.
Made in the shape of a giant fish having a circumference of about 13km.
Being built on the banks of the Gambhri River this fort have a limestone bridge that has to be crossed to take entry into the fort.
Though it has been built by Hindu architecture ideas which are mixed with the vaulted substructures to reflect Muslim architectural touch.

Rana Kumbha Palace-Located near the Seventh Gate of the fort
Rana Ratan Singh Palace was built in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Fateh Prakash Palace nowadays has been converted into an amazing museum.
And the famous Padmini’s Palace.

The fort and the city of Chittorgarh host the biggest Rajput festival called the “Jauhar Mela”.
A huge number of Rajputs, and the descendants of most of the royal families, hold a procession to celebrate the Jauhar. It has become a forum to air one’s views on contemporary political situations.
